How to  budget and save money without much change in your lifestyle?

In times of high inflation and economic recession, all of us start looking for different ways to reduce our family budget and save extra money.  You can save some more money even after enjoying your treats and other activities.  With such habit you can pay your bills faster and with ease, can plan for vacations along with family and even can plan for retirement too.   The first and most important thing you will need to pay attention is your day-to-day expenses.

Keep track of expenses at least for one month.  Note all the inevitable expenses you have to incur every month.  You won’t be able to know your thriftier life style until you will come to know where your money goes every month. You will realize that you can cut many small daily expenses with this.

Get help of internet when you want to purchase anything.  Search online shopping sites, compare prices of the particular things you are searching for and try to get the best deals at discounted price.

Turn off lights, fans, heaters, air-conditioners, coolers, TV when they are not required or in use.  Try to tell all the people at home to follow this. Open the windows of your house and get fresh air from outside instead of using air-conditioner.  Even turn off the computer system when it is not in use.  This way you can save in your electricity bill.

Compare the cable TV provider’s yearly charges.  Get the best cable provider who will give you all the desirable channels in low cost.  Pay yearly charges with which you will be able to get good discounts.

Try to see the movies at home instead of theaters.  Call your friends/ relatives/ neighbors and get popcorn and ice-creams for fun.

Learn to take care and keep your possessions in good condition.  Hence you can use them for long avoiding the expense on similar things at regular time intervals.

Try to eat at home even on weekends.  If you are habitual to eat outside food, you can cut the number of visits you normally do.  If possible make it to minimum which will save a lot of money and will be beneficial for health too.  Ultimately you will save on doctor’s bill.

Try to know the items you really need and the items you want but not needed.  Before going to departmental stores, prepare a shopping list and purchase only the items in the list and don’t go beyond that.  Even cut the number of visits to such stores in one month.

Try to fix or repair broken items instead of throwing them away and buying new one on their place.

Try to handle  the basic plumbing work or solve problems related with electrical appliances at home on your own with the help of do it yourself books or manuals & guides which come along with the appliances.

Try to avoid shopping in festival days instead go for it before or after these days where you will get good discounts on your favorite brands.

Thrifty living is a skill which will increase your patience if you will try it with your own decision and not due to the situations.  So start it today!
