Indian summer is the time when one can really enjoy the outing to Hill stations like Mount Abu.  Particularly when such visit is on the special occasion of Summer Festival, it doubles the joy of the tour.

Every year Summer Festival is organized by Rajasthan Tourism on this beautiful hill station to beat the heat of summer.

Place:  Mount Abu, Rajasthan.

Mount Abu is an all time favorite tourist place due attractive locations, serene lakes & pleasant climate.  If you love music, culture and sports then the three days Summer Festival is a right time to visit this place.  The festival starts with ballad singing and traditional processions on Nakki Lake.  Rajasthan and Gujarat is popular for its folk dance and classical music which is the main part of this festival.  Gair and Ghoomar dance of Rajasthan in its original form can only be seen on such occasion.

If you love sports this is the perfect time to reach there.  Variety of competitions and sporting events are arranged on this event. Boat Race, Horse Race, Panihari Matka Race, Tug-of-War are organized that adds the excitement and fun.

A program of renowned qawwali singers is organized names as “Sham-e-Qawwali” which is a much anticipated music show.

Stunning fireworks at the end of the Festival is the last attraction for the tourist.  The festival ends with it.   In 2013, Summer Festival will be on 23^rd-25^th May.
