Vipassana: A wonderful experience of my Life.

Vipassana: A wonderful experience of my Life.

Vipassana

It was in 2008 I was inspired by one of my colleagues in office for Vipassana Meditation.  I got to know about the details from her and decided to attend 10 days course.

Till that time I never had gone to any yoga classes or never followed meditation practice in my life.  I was told that the specialty of this course lies in the fact that you have to stay at the center for the total course period.  In this time you do not have any access with your family members. Mobile phone or internet usages are not allowed. You are totally disconnected with the outside world.   The most important part is the “Maun Vrata.”  In the 10 days of course you are not allowed to talk with any person, not even by gestures.

It is assumed that all the sadhak over there follow these rules and the time table scheduled.

I tried my level best to follow all the rules and completed the 10 days program in Igatpuri , Dhamma Tapovan, Maharashtra, India.  My day used to start at 4.30 am and end at 9.30 pm.   I loved the discipline and purity of the Tapovan.  Proper care of every person is taken and it is observed that every one will be benefited with the efforts they take by meditating for 10 days.  At the end of every day, we used to get the opportunity to hear the lecture by S.N.Genka.  On the 11th day when we were allowed to break our “Maun Vrata” and talk with each other, the happiness of that moment can’t be explained in words.

It was a great experience and will like to say that every one in his life should attend the course at least for once.

One can register on this site to attend the course program.
